Boating America Safety Class

FIRST CLASS FOR 2026

 

Our training is done by certified instructors, the training will

include, but not limited to, existing Federal laws, North

Carolina laws and Virginia laws, and safe boating

practices.

Training starts at 8 AM February 21st, 2026. At completion

you will be given your Boating Safety Card, prior to your

leaving.

Class fee is $40.00 person which covers all course

materials. Payable at time of class, check or cash please.

Maritime VHF radio is recommended for emergency communication with USCG, NC Wildlife, VA DGIF, county law enforcement and LGWSC equipped monitoring stations.

Aids to Navigation can provide a boater with information similar to that which drivers get from street signs, stop signals, road barriers, detours, and traffic lights. This booklet will give you, the recreational boater, the basic information you need about the U.S. Aids to Navigation System (USATONS).
